Here at The Burlington Pond, we do not hold our players back. If we deem midway through a session that your child should be in a higher level clinic, WE WILL MOVE them to the appropriate clinic (upon Pond Instructor approval).
Kinder Hockey Program Ages 4, 5, 6, 7
A FIRST TIME HOCKEY EXPERIENCE!
The perfect program to get your child ready for HOCKEY next year! This 50-minute session is broken down into PRACTICE and hockey GAME!
This program will focus on:
- Pre-Power Skating skills combined with 3 on 3 Hockey for Beginners
- Forwards & Backwards skating
- Stopping
- Introduction to Cross-overs & edges
- Skating with the puck & some puck control
- 22 Minute 3 on 3 hockey game with 2-minute buzzers
**This program is geared towards skaters ages 4-7 years old who have the basics of skating down pat.
Skaters MUST be able to skate forwards and must be able to stand up on their own when they fall down.
Kinder Hockey Jersey is included in this program. This program requires full hockey equipment.

Pre Power Skating Ages 4, 5, 6
Graduates of our Learn to Skate Program will continue to progress in the fundamentals of skating to prepare to play hockey. Full Hockey Equipment & Hockey stick is required for this program.
This program will focus on:
- Pre-Power Skating skill
- Forwards & Backwards skating
- Stopping
- Introduction to Cross-overs & edges
- Skating with the puck & some puck control

Players ages 5 + 6 & 7 + 8 who are above the average skill level (or approved by Pond Instructor)
This program offers young players the fundamentals of playing hockey at the rep level. High tempo sessions revolving around power skating to advance stride, quickness, and agility coupled with Overspeed drills and puck handling to develop puck control and shot.
This Program will focus on:
- Power Skating
- Explosive Quick Starts
- Acceleration
- Edge Control incl. Crossovers; forward and backwards
- Puck handling & Passing
- Shooting

This program is for players who have completed a Learn to Skate program or have basic fundamental skating skills. THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM.

House League Everything Hockey Intermediate/Advanced Players:
This program is for graduates of our Beginner Hockey Skills and Drills program or advanced player. This program is EVERYTHING hockey! Weekly classes will tune every skill hockey players need. This program focus:

- Edge Work
- Over Speed
- Quickness
- Shooting and EVERYTHING you need!

AAA HIGH-PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT
This program is designed for rep players AAA. High-performance training by coaches Michele & Ryan. A professional-style program focusing on the following skills at an ELITE level: Advanced edge work & edge control, body control, power, acceleration, explosiveness, agility / lateral movement / first 3 steps. All with and without the puck.

Rep C.A.T (Confined Area Training)

PROGRAM DIRECTED BY: RYAN MOORE
25 Minutes of coached confined puck skills
25 minutes of coach controlled in zone battles
This program is focused around playing with the puck in confined areas. This method of development is used from the beginner level all the way to N.H.L. practices. C.A.T. will include coach controlled in zone battles, corner battles, and keep away battles. Confining the space forces players to adapt to the added pressures all while having TONS OF FUN!

Summer Rep Training Aug 16 – Sept 2
Players participate in 6 high-intensity training sessions over the course of 2 weeks. Sharpen your skills now don’t wait until the Fall. Our coaches focus on the skills needed for players to perform their best.
These sessions focus on the following:

- Puck control at top speed and in tight spaces
- Passing and shooting
