Learn to Skate Registration Requirements: 

The first session date is evaluation and orientation day.  After evaluations, your child could be moved to another group.

AGES 3 – 6 BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE  

• new skater with little to no experience
• Skaters will learn the basics of falling and getting up on their own, forward and backward skating, and build confidence on ice
• Skaters will work on all aspects of skating, learning stops, turns, edges and glides while also adding speed to basic forward & backwards skating.

AGES 7 – 12  BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE 

• Skaters will work on all aspects of skating, learning stops, turns, edges and glides while also adding speed to basic forward & backwards skating

PrePower Skating AGES  4 – 8  INTERMEDIATE 

• This program is tailored towards children who have basic skating skills (can skate forwards, backwards and stop) and are looking for an introduction to power skating and puck skills. Participants are expected to wear full hockey equipment and bring a stick to class. Coaches will focus on forwards skating techniques building speed and control, backwards skating speed and control, stopping both ways and an introduction to edges and crossovers. This program is very similar to learn to skate advanced, but will have a hockey focused lesson plan. 

Registration Requirements: Can skate forwards, backwards and can do basic stopping. Graduate of learn to skate beginner.

Participants are expected to wear full hockey equipment and bring a stick to class.
