Participants must meet the registration requirements noted on the program description. If your child does not meet the age or skill level requirement, without prior written approval from The Pond, your registration will transfer to the appropriate program.

POWER SKATING OR PUCK SKILLS CLINICS
PRE REP COACHES: UDO SPRINGMANN & TRISTYN SVETEK OR POND COACH
Our Pre-Rep sessions is the road to REP HOCKEY. These clinics provide the skating and hockey skills needed to build a solid hockey foundation. All Pre-Rep Player clinics require Full Hockey Equipment. Progressing through these programs provides players with the tools they need for optimal development to achieve all levels of Rep Hockey and beyond.
List of Full Hockey Equipment Required: Hockey Skates, Hockey Helmet, Hockey Stick, Hockey Gloves, Neck Guard, Shoulder Pads, Shin Pads, Elbow Pads, Hockey Pants, Hockey Socks & Water Bottle
Participants in this program are either required to have successfully completed Advanced Kinder Hockey or Pre Power Skating or demonstrate proficiency in forward & backward skating, as well as perform stops in both directions or are approved by a Pond instructor.
This program will focus on: essential hockey skills such as hockey stance, balance, foot speed, stride length, and refining forward & backward skating techniques. Furthermore players will engage in drills to improve pivoting in both directions, as well as improving their edge control and high tempo drills to refine crossovers (both forward & backward). This program aims to build upon foundational skills and will prepare the player for Power Skating ages 7/8 and their advancement on their path to rep hockey.

Participants in this program should have either completed Power Skating Ages 5/6 or must demonstrate proficiency in forward and backward skating, as well as perform stops in both directions or are approved by a Pond instructor.
This program will focus on: improving fundamental puck control skills including stick handling, navigating with the puck, sprints with the puck, passing and shooting. In addition to these foundational puck skills players will engage in simple team drills and puck races to enhance their skills. This program aims to build upon foundational puck skills and will prepare the player for Power Puck Skills ages 7/8 and their advancement on their path to rep hockey.

Participants in this program should have either completed Power Skating ages 5/6, or play U8/U9 rep hockey or demonstrated above – average / advanced skill levels that are approved by a Pond instructor.
This program will focus on: improving essential hockey skating skills, including crossovers (both forward & backward), pivoting in both directions, stride enhancement and foot speed development. In addition to these foundational skills, players will engage in targeted high tempo drills to refine their power skating techniques, explosive starts (v-starts and stacked crossover starts), overspeed crossovers, power strides, mohawks, and edge control. This program is specifically designed to build on crucial skills and equip players with the skills and abilities necessary for success on their path to rep hockey.

This program will focus on: fundamental puck control skills including stick handling, navigating with the puck, sprints with the puck, passing and shooting. Priority will be given to elevating quickness while controlling the puck and executing more advanced hockey drills with the puck. This program is specifically designed to build on crucial skills and equip players with the skills and abilities necessary for success on their path to rep hockey.
